An investigation is continuing after a shooting Saturday morning, Oct. 4, that injured two people.
Sumter Police Department officers responded to a shots-fired call at about 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the Crosswell Drive/Yeadon Street area. An adult and two juveniles were walking in the area when shots were fired from a passing vehicle, according to a news release from the department.
The adult and one of the juveniles suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The injured juvenile was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital for treatment, and the adult was treated at the scene. The other juvenile was not injured.
Officers are working to identify the vehicle and individuals involved. A description of the vehicle is limited at this time.
