2 relatives charged after dragging 19-year-old beside moving vehicle in Sumter

Two relatives were charged after reportedly dragging a 19-year-old from a vehicle down Manning Avenue on Jan. 1.
Shaleana Theaosha Portee, 23, and Shalisa Lavona Portee, 27, were charged with assault and battery after intentionally harming a 19-year-old woman.
The two suspects, who were in a vehicle, grabbed the 19-year-old by the hair and drove the vehicle while dragging her several feet down the 1000 block of Manning Avenue, according to Sumter County Sheriff's Office.
The woman was treated at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital for her injuries.
