TURBEVILLE – Two Clarendon County men wanted on multiple attempted murder charges and a variety of other felony charges turned themselves in to Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday. A Lexington County man was arrested earlier in the week on the same charges.

Dominique Laterrance Pearson, 26, of Turbeville, and Jalen Deron Kennedy, 22, of New Zion, turned themselves in to authorities on Saturday afternoon. Quamayne Leequan Brown, 22, of Gaston, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and is being held without bond at Clarendon County Detention Center.

The men have been charged with nine counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during a violent crime, 12 counts of malicious injury and three counts of shooting into a dwelling and vehicle.

According to CCSO, a deputy responded to a trailer park in Turbeville about 8:10 p.m. on July 19 in reference to shots heard. On arrival, the deputy talked with one of the victims who told him that he pulled off the roadway to talk with a group of guys, some of whom he knew. He told the deputy that as he was approaching the group, he heard them arguing and when someone in the group mentioned guns, he told the deputy that he got back into his vehicle and pulled away. The man said that a few minutes after he pulled away, he heard several gunshots and then the passenger side window of his vehicle shattered. The man told the deputy that he parked his vehicle and when the shooting stopped, he got out of the vehicle and saw several gunshot holes in his car.

While the CCSO deputy was talking with the first victim, another man walked up and told the deputy that he had property damage from the shooting. The man reportedly told the deputy that his 2017 Dodge Ram and his residence on Cam Street were both hit from the gunfire.

The second victim told the deputy that he was taking groceries into his home when he heard several gunshots; however, he didn’t see anything. He also told the deputy that his wife and granddaughter were inside the home when the shooting occurred.

One individual who was on the scene at the time of the shooting identified Pearson and Brown as two members of the group that were standing in the roadway.

All three individuals are being held in Clarendon County Detention Center.
