Ada Mae Lawson Hall, 73, died on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born on Oct. 13, 1945, in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Moses and Carrie Cook Lawson. She was married to Curtis Hall. She received her education in the public schools of Lee County. She attended many churches around the Sumter community. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed serving her family and friends. She loved Chuck Norris and all of his movies and television shows. She also loved all of her soap operas, namely the "Days of our Lives."

She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Rosa Mae Lawson, Willie James Lawson and Betty Jean Hall, all of Sumter; nine grandchildren, six of whom were reared in the home, Claretta (Jamar) Snow of Moncks Corners, Lorraine Lawson of Goose Creek, Marquetta Lawson of Dalzell, Willie Lawson, Terrence Lawson, Samantha Lawson, Tekemo Wilson, Nicholas Brown and Tianna Rhodes, all of Sumter; six sisters, Almena Woods of Mayesville, Elizabeth (Theodore) Sharper, Betty Jean Lawson, Elouise Lawson, Marguerite (John) Sumter and Patricia Lawson, all of Sumter; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Lawson of Mayesville and Lillie Mae Lawson of Sumter; one aunt, Dorothy Epps of Sumter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 1030 Acres Ave., Sumter.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 126 E. Sumter St., Mayesville, with the Rev. Eugene Myers Jr., pastor, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.

The procession will leave at 1:20 p.m. from the home.

Burial will be at Mayesville Cemetery, Mayesville.
