DALZELL - Albert Edward Palmer, age 78, beloved husband of Margaret Susan Fuller Palmer, died on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Syracuse, New York, he was a son of the late Albert and Winifred Smith Palmer. Al was known to be a very kind and compassionate man. He was extremely intelligent and very generous. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue; a son, Edward A. Palmer and his wife, Tawny, of Spartanburg; two daughters, Peggy Vanderwater of Cicero, New York, and Heather Vanderwater of Capris, Florida; five brothers and sisters, Chuckie, Shirley, Eva, Wendy and Lola; six grandchildren, Christopher, Taylor, Meghan, Nalani, Benjamin and Bianca; and a great-grandson, Quincy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alan "Bud" and Midgie; and three sisters, Laura, Carol and Joanie.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Tuesday in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy McDonald and Dr. Ron Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon at Bullock Funeral Home.
