ALETHA RUTH ROBINSON BIERING

Aletha Ruth Robinson Biering, 74, wife of Stephen P. Biering Sr., died Monday, Sept. 30, 2019, at The Gardens at Sumter.

Born April 6, 1945, in Newark, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Cullen and Aletha Gaither Robinson. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years; five children, Stephen P. Biering Jr. (Tammy) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Delores Anne Kolb (Kyle) of Smyrna, Sunny-Lynne Biering (Jamie) of Pinewood, Susanna Biering (Zack Harman) of Columbia and Mia Traugott (Ed) of Lake Wylie; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robbie Robinson.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Rufino Madridejos, CRM officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
