ANAMARIE ENGLISH DAVIS

Anamarie English Davis, 98, widow of Robert Wayne Davis Sr., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on Dec. 19, 1922, in Portage, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late James English and Mary Tripila English.  She was a very active member of the Church of the Holy Comforter.  She was a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross and a member of the Stateburg Literary and Musical Society.

Survivors include four children, Robert W. "Bob" Davis Jr. (Betty), William R. "Bill" Davis (Ellen), Diane McDonald (Robert) and Richard P. "Dick" Davis (Sandi); seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. Jon English.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Cross cemetery at Stateburg with the Rev. John Sosnowski officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
