ANDREW JAMES CHAPMAN

DALZELL - Andrew James "Jim" Chapman, 63, husband of Diane Louise English Chapman, died on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on Jan. 1, 1958, in Ashburn, Georgia, he was a son of the late Harvey Dale Chapman and Margie Marilla Harvey Chapman. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the U.S. Navy. He was an Operation Desert Storm veteran. He was employed by Norman's Tire Center. He loved fishing, hunting and collecting knives.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years; three children, Amanda Jean Conner (Jonathan) of Colorado, Daniel Lee Chapman (Lindsey) of Sumter and Christopher John Chapman (Holly) of Columbia; five grandchildren, Eric Conner, Jeffrey Conner, Shelby Chapman, Chris Chapman Jr. and Madison Chapman; two sisters, Donna Suttles (Derrell) of Panama City, Florida, and Patricia Wamer (Matthew) of Dalzell; and two brothers, Harvey Dale Chapman Jr. and William Dean Chapman (Terri), both of Dalzell.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with rendering of military honors at 2 p.m.
