Andrew Nello "Drew / Tamboo" Moore was born on June 3, 1977, in Sumter County, to Isaiah Moore Jr. and Rhoda Johnson-Taylor.

He transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

He was a 1995 graduate of Furman High School, where he lettered in football and track. Upon graduating from Furman, he attended Benedict College in Columbia, where he was a member of the reestablished Benedict Tigers football team. He gained a passion for selling cars, driving 18-wheelers and cooking. He enjoyed hosting family gatherings. A family man, he always made it a top priority to keep everyone close. He was his children's biggest fan and supporter.

He leaves to cherish: his parents, Rhoda Johnson-Taylor of Travelers Rest and Isaiah (Charlene) Moore Jr. of Sumter; three children, Grayson Moore, Karlie Moore and Zemira Moore of the Upstate; four brothers, Isaiah (Jennifer) Moore III of Lexington, North Carolina, Terrance (Kayla) Gipson of Sumter, Casadine (Shanika) Moore of Inman and Cedric (Kelly) Gipson of Georgia; two sisters, Kazia Moore of Travelers Rest and Kendra (Aaron) Haggins of Columbia; maternal grandmother, Essie M. Wells of Pinewood; two special and dear aunts, Luvivian Moore of Pinewood and Mattie L. Johnson of Sumter; a god brother, Jonathan Andre Cannon and the Cannon family of North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends. He also leaves behind a loving fiancée, Avery Holland; and the mother of his son Grayson, Quianna Poole.

Viewing was held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 19, at Kingdom Builders Church, 621 W. Liberty St., Sumter.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Antioch Memorial Garden, 10026 River Road, Pinewood. Bishop Willie Green and the Rev. Cheryl Gadsen, eulogist, officiated.

The family received visitors at the home, 4298 N. Lake Cherryvale Drive, Sumter.

Simmons Funeral Home and Crematory of Orangeburg was in charge of arrangements.
