ANTHONY E. ANDERSON

The Rev. Anthony E. Anderson, 57, died on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, at Cone Green Valley Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Ezell Jr. and Sarah Tiller Anderson. He graduated from Mayewood High School in 1980 and furthered his education at South Carolina State University and Morris College. He was an ordained minister and was the pastor of Hoyt CME Church in Burlington, North Carolina.

The Rev. Anderson leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Barrington King and Darius McNeil; granddaughter, Amilliana Petteway; and siblings, Stanley (Elaine) Anderson, Anita (Jerome) Ray, Arlene (Garret) McCloud, Alford (LeAnn) Anderson, Bruce (Carlett) Anderson, Maurice Anderson and Amanda (Devon) Douglas.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery, 2561 Cains Mill Road, Sumter.

Services entrusted to Cremation Services of the Triad Inc., 1039 E. Lindsay St., Greensboro, NC 27405.
