Bernice J. Pitts, 76, wife of James R. Pitts, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at her residence in Sumter. Born in Rembert, she was a daughter the late Hiram Jenkins and Leacy Hunter Jenkins.
Due to the pandemic and in accordance with the CDC guidelines, the family will not receive friends at the home.
Funeral arrangements are in progress and will be announced by Palmer Memorial Inc.
