SUMMERVILLE - Cathryn Denison Berry of Summerville and Felder Wayne Poplin III of Sumter were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at St. Paul's Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Watkins Berry Jr. of Summerville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. James Watkins Berry and Mrs. James Watkins Berry of Summerville and Mrs. Harry Thomas Folger of Pahokee, Florida, and the late E. T. Mann Jr. She is a graduate of Summerville High School and Clemson University with a degree in Construction Science and Management. She is employed as a project manager for Mashburn Construction in Columbia.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Felder Wayne Poplin Jr. of Oswego. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Felder Wayne Poplin and Mrs. Poplin of Manning and Mr. Leveen Hartwell Watford and the late Mrs. Watford of Oswego. He is a graduate of Wilson Hall and The Citadel with a degree in Business Management. He is employed by Rourk Plumbing Co. in Sumter.

The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Michael R. Lumpkin.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a satin ball gown with lace appliques on the open back and buttons down the train and her mother's full-length veil with lace appliques. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of panda anemones, white Amelia standard roses, silver brunea berries, scabiosa pods, blue thistle, white wax flower, seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus, Italian ruscus and Dusty Miller.

Matron of honor was Cathleen Tupper Charlow. Bridesmaids were Marie Vaughan Berry, Brooke Arledge Brunson, Haley Elizabeth Kernell and Emily Ann Purcell.

The bridegroom's father served as his best man. Groomsmen were William Asa Rhody Allbritton, James Watkins Berry III, John Dreyfus Brunson III, Brian Wayne Flowers, Charles Franklin Marshall III and Nicolas Hartwell Poplin.

A luncheon honoring the bride and her attendants was held at The Little Cottage Community Caf by the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Berry, and her aunts, Rita Berry and Pamela Berry Kacpura.

The bride's parents held the reception immediately following the wedding ceremony at Summerville Country Club.

The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at The Atrium of Doar Hall, St. Paul's.

Following a honeymoon to Antigua, the couple resides in Sumter.
