BETTY ANN WELLS GARRIS

Betty Ann "Toot" Wells Garris, 82, wife of Manford E. Garris, died on Friday, May 31, 2019, at her home.

Born in Pinewood, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ada Furman Lowder Wells. Mrs. Garris was retired from Waste Management Co.

Surviving are her husband of Sumter; two daughters, Carol Ann Hinchliffe Collins (Alan) of Sumter and Cathy Annet Hinchliffe (David) of Wedgefield; a brother, Joseph Wells of Pinewood; and a great-grandchild, Audrey Brianna Cruzan.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Thena Louise Goff; and a granddaughter, Amanda Michelle Taylor Rhodes.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian McGaw officiating. Burial will follow at Pinewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Carol Collins.
