DALZELL - Betty June Arnold Champy, age 74, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Dalzell Baptist Church, Dalzell, with the Reverend Mark Barnette officiating. She will be buried in Cameron Memorial Cemetery in Cameron.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home.

June was born on July 17, 1944, in Valdosta, Georgia, to James F. and Cathryn D. Arnold. She went to Madison High School, where she was in the Beta Club and graduated in 1962. She worked as an office representative for State Farm for 38 years, employed by the late Charlie Moore and Bill Denny. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an active member of Dalzell Baptist Church, Dalzell.

June is survived by her husband, Harry Doyle Champy Jr. of Dalzell; her two sons, Harry Doyle Champy III and his wife, Connie, of Gainesville, Georgia, and Timothy Ron Champy and his wife, Dede, of Statesville, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Rebekah Champy, Noah Champy and Brandon Champy; a sister, Geraldine Killingsworth of Madison, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Cathryn D. Arnold of Pinetta, Florida; three sisters, Frances A. Wade, Joyce Keene and twin sister, Gloria Jean Hart; and a brother, Jimmie Arnold.
