Betty Pack Brown, 69, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Aug. 26, 1949, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Lee Pack Jr. and Ruth Brown Phippes. Ms. Brown was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class. She retired from Sumter County Probate Court as associate probate judge after nearly 30 years of service.

Survivors include three daughters, Penny Bradley (Gregg), Amy Osteen (Kevin) and April Gladden (Joey); five grandchildren, Allen Bradley, Landon Osteen, Caitlyn Bradley, Krayton Osteen and Rylee Gladden; one great-granddaughter, Skylen Bradley; three sisters, Kathy Dority, Cindi Newman (Frankie) and Sheila Ristrow; two brothers, Lee Pack III (Debbie) and Terry Tomlinson; and a sister-in-law, Mae Pack.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Pack and Gary Tomlinson.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday at Crosswell Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Owens officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday in the Crosswell Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at her home.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Betty Ardis and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Rabon for being amazing friends and Ms. Brown's sister-in-law, Debbie Pack, for being more like a sister and a special friend.
