BEVERLEY ELIZABETH ROBERTS THOMAS

Beverley “Bevy” Elizabeth Roberts Thomas, 78, widow of John Henry Thomas Jr., died Saturday, March 15, 2025, at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown.

Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Earl Roberts and Elizabeth Britton Lemmon Roberts.

Mrs. Thomas was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a retired English teacher at Wilson Hall School for many years. She was a resident of The Blake at Woodcreek Farms.

Surviving are a sister, Kathy Roberts Keith (Lukie); nieces, Jennifer Keith English (Russell) and Heather Keith Ray (Jeremy), and nephew, Curtis Britton Keith (Crystal); great-nieces, Addison English and Kinsley Ray; great-nephews, Grant English and Easton Ray; also a sister, Peggy Roberts Gerrald; niece, Mandy Kimbell; nephew, Trey Gerrald; and great-nephews, Elliott, Miles and Grant Kimbell.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Johnna Elizabeth “Babs” Thomas.

Private services will be held with the Rev. Joseph James officiating.

The family will receive friends at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2025, in Trinity United Methodist Church Parlor.
