Bishopville hosting COVID-19 vaccine event on Saturday

Those interested in getting a COVID-19 vaccine can do so on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bishopville.

The clinic will be held at 509 N. Main St., and attendees 5-11 can receive their first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Attendees 12 and older can receive their first, second or booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Attendees 18 and older can receive their first, second or booster dose of the Moderna vaccine.

According to state public health data, 49% of eligible Lee County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, in comparison to 76% nationally.
