Bishopville/Manning/Shaw AFB Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. to purchase fans for needy

The Bishopville/Manning/Shaw AFB Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. has received a $1,000 grant from the Senior Kappa Affairs Endowment Fund of Kappa Alpha Psi.
According to Kenneth Benjamin, Senior Kappa Affairs chairman for the chapter, the grant will be used to provide fans for senior citizens that are in need of relief from the summer weather.
It is anticipated that the funds from the grant will be used to purchase 50 or more fans for senior citizens in need.
Beginning in early June, the chapter will work with local organizations to identify those most in need and provide the cooling assistance as quickly as possible.
