Bobbie Jo King Walker, affectionately known as "Putney," 57, departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on Feb. 28, 1962, in Waynesboro, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie Charles King and Curley Baby Bines. Putney moved to Florida with her parents in the late 1960s, where she thrived as a child. She attended Stranham High School in Fort Lauderdale. She worked at Morrison Cafeteria as a food line worker.

She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Larry Walker; two sons, Michael Moore (Angela) and Charlie Moore; one brother, Tommie King (Phyllis); seven sisters, Kella M. Stanley (John), Charlie Maud Reeves, JoEvelyn King, Janie Howard (James), Oney Lovell (Andrew), Hattie Duirden (James Jr.) and ElviraTokas (Darryl); three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 1532 Copley Drive, Sumter.

Wake services will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter.

Celebration of life services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with the Rev. James Duirdeen officiating, eulogist.

The procession will leave at 1:20 p.m. from the home.
