For more than 30 years, members of the Eta Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. have shared their love for literacy with students. Members recently surprised 611 Oakland Primary School students with free books, reading buddies and school supplies. The sorority donated 1,500 books to the school through its annual Giving the Gift of Literacy service project. Annually, it donates more than 5,000 books to schools in our community.
