BRENDA R. DRIGGERS

Brenda R. Driggers, 70, wife of Joe C. "Carroll" Driggers, died on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Scott and Shirley Frank Russell. Mrs. Driggers was a member of Harmony Church and was formerly employed by C&S Bank.

Surviving are her husband of Sumter; a son, Joe Driggers Jr. of Manning; a daughter, Jessica Stephens (Tray) of Sumter; a sister, Marilyn Bolser of Dalzell; a brother, Arthur Russell; two grandsons, Jacob and Colton Stephens; and a sister-in-law, Bunni Russell, all of Sumter.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Russell.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today with the Rev. Drew Choate officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
