Brian Jeffery Tention, 53, was born on Sept. 16, 1970, in Sumter, to Warren and Celathia Tention.
Jeffery departed this life on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, at his home in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Jeffery was a 1989 graduate of Sumter High School.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Edwards, pastor, and the Rev. Dr. Gregory J. Jackson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery.
Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home of Sumter is in charge of arrangements.
