BRUCE HOWARD PEGGS

Bruce Howard Peggs, age 77, beloved husband of 54 years to Marie Yvonne Fontenot Peggs, died on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at his residence.

Born in Syracuse, New York, he was a son of the late James Gregory Peggs and Miriam Louise Small Peggs. Mr. Peggs was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class. He was very involved with his family, work and church.

Surviving in addition to his wife Yvonne are his three daughters, Kimberley Roupe and her husband, David, of Sumter, Cheryl Floyd and her husband, Johnny, of Sumter and Deanna Mahaley and her husband, Ken, of Stockbridge, Georgia; one brother, Richard Peggs and his wife, Sue, of Dallas, Georgia; one sister, Nancy Bean and her husband, Bob, of Hastings, New York; seven grandchildren, David Roupe, Courtney Roupe, Jay Floyd, Anna Floyd, Camryn Hatcher, Hannah Mahaley and Morgan Mahaley; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.
