Claude Wayne Beck, 73, husband of Kathy C. Beck, died on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at his home.
Born on June 6, 1947, in Jefferson County, Alabama, he was a son of the late Claude Nathan Beck and Rosie Helms Beck. He was a member of First Assembly Church of God. He was formerly employed by Coca-Cola Bottling Co., B.L. Montague and Sumter Casket Co., and later retired from Harvin Packing Co.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years; a brother, Jerry Beck (Yuriko) of Birmingham, Alabama; and brother-in-law, William "Bill" Carpenter. He was loved and adored by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with Pastor Jason Banar, Pastor Phil Simun and Mark Sneider officiating.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
