Calvin N. Rucker, 70, husband of Mary Davis Rucker, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, at his home.
Born on Jan. 1, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Reed and Beatrice Elston Rucker. He received his education in the public schools of Pittsburgh. Calvin served his country in the United States Army.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Mary R. Davis Rucker; a daughter, Shameea; two sons, Shadeed and Jermine of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; three sisters, Terry, Saundra and Kelly; four brothers, Steven, Kenny, Mike and Russell; his mother-in-law, Marie Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 5115 Cannery Drive, Dalzell.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, with Minister S. Webb officiating.
The funeral procession will leave at 9 a.m. from the home.
