WESTERN GOVERNORS UNIVERSITY

SALT LAKE CITY - The following Sumter residents have earned a degree from Western Governors University:

- Tracy Price earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing;

- Darrion Somerville earned a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance; and

- Deneice Wickens earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

THE UNIVERSITY OF TAMPA

TAMPA, Florida - Precious Paraoan of Sumter graduated from The University of Tampa on May 9 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science-Biology.

The virtual commencement ceremony included 1,752 undergraduate and graduate candidates. Additionally each graduate received a personalized video commemorating his or her achievement.

BOB JONES UNIVERSITY

GREENVILLE - Victoria Rollings of Sumter was among nearly 700 students who graduated from Bob Jones University on May 8.

Rollings graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

During the virtual ceremony, more than 500 students received bachelor's degrees, nearly 100 students received master's degrees, and nearly 40 students received associate degrees. Five candidates earned doctoral degrees.

Traditional, in-person commencement exercises will be held Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. in the Founder's Memorial Amphitorium.
