Campus Corner: Sumter, Clarendon and Lee county students excel at college

Lander University

GREENWOOD - Lander University recently announced the names of local undergraduate students who were placed on the President's List for the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year. To qualify for the list, a student must earn a GPA of 4.0 over the course of the semester.

- Manning - Janette Murdoch;

- Dalzell - Liam Miller;

- Bishopville - Joel Seymour; and

- Sumter - Erin Currier; McKenzie Michelson; Emily Mulholland; and Kayla Tindal.

The following local undergraduate students were named to the Dean's List for the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year for earning a GPA between 3.5 and 3.9 over the course of the semester:

- Bishopville - Madison Copeland;

- Mayesville - Diamonte Commander; and

- Sumter - Emilee Fuller; Jessica Harris; Haleigh Jordan; Chynna Mcbride; and Deiondra Mickel.

University of Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - Rebekah Jean St. Cyr of Sumter was named to the University of Alabama Dean's List for fall 2019.

To be named to the list, a student must have a full-course load with an academic record of 3.5 or above.
