Carlton Washington wins reelection to Sumter County Council District 1 seat

According to unofficial results, Democrat Carlton Washington appears have won reelection to the District 1 seat for Sumter County Council.
He earned 66.86% of the vote, or 3,846 votes, over Republican opponent Angus McDuffie, who got 33.05%, or 1,901 votes. There were five write-in votes.
Tallies will be certified Friday.
