CAROL ELIZABETH MOSES

Carol Elizabeth Moses, 74, died Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at her home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was born in Sumter to Robert A. and Harriett Pace Moses, the second of five daughters.
Surviving are spouse, David Vasconcelos; daughter, Alice Moses (Andy McPhee); son, Aldo Pena Moses (Jenny Costello); grandchildren, Lily and Liam; sisters, Natalie Moses (Douglas Klaucke), Katherine Moses Royer (Brad), Laura Moses; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father and sister, Elizabeth.
Carol attended Sumter schools, and moved to Cambridge following graduation from Edmunds High School. She later earned a BA in Cultural Anthropology at UMass Boston. Her family upbringing inspired a love of nature, including plants and birds, that would continue through her whole life.
Memorial Services and reception will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Mount Auburn Cemetery Story Chapel in Cambridge. Private burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
