CAROLYN WRIGHT

Carolyn "Cal" Helen Wright, wife of Lewis "Bubba-Larry" Wright Sr., was born May 17, 1954, in Sumter to the late Leary McLeod Mayrant and Garrett Mayrant. She departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at Conway Medical Center in Conway.

She lived in the Upstate during her teenage years and returned to Rembert. She was a 1973 graduate of Hillcrest High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert McLeod, James Mayrant, John Mayrant and Harriel Mayrant.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis "Bubba-Larry" Wright Sr.; special friend, David Clea; sons, Lewis (Connie) Wright Jr., Bobby (Veronica) Wright and Sean Wright; daughters, Tiffayre Wright and Nia Wright; sisters, Elizabeth (Elijah Sr.) Bracy, Julia (Herbert) Mickens and Thomasena Mayrant; Edward Mayrant Sr.; a special granddaughter, Aunysti Wright; and a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Sumter Funeral Service Inc., 623 Manning Ave., Sumter, with Dr. Lewis Walker Jr. officiating.

Public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her sister at 5390 Mayrant Road, Rembert, and her husband at 160 Apollo St., Wedgefield.
