CARVIN C. WELCH

Carvin C. Welch, 72, husband of Janice Jackson Welch, died on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born on Jan. 29, 1946, in Charleston, he was a son of the late Henry E. and Edna Corene Smith Welch. He retired from the heating and air business.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years; a daughter, Michelle Swiney (Tim) of Sumter; two grandchildren, Christopher Swiney and Cameron Swiney; and three sisters, Mary Grooms (Willie), Gloria Hatfield (Bubba) and Julie Hayes.

He was preceded by death by two brothers, Henry E. Welch Jr. and Roy A. Welch.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Eugene Mosier officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Swiney, Cameron Swiney, Tracey Welch, Joey Gainey, Jacob Moye and Dale Watts.

Junior Welch will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
