Catherine McMillian, widow of Ernest McMillian, was born on Sept. 23, 1955, in Lee County, to the late Toby and Albertha Mack Favor. She departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017.
She was a faithful member of St. John Holiness Church. Catherine served with the gospel choir and the usher board.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: two sons, Michael and Boris (Satoshi) Favor, both of Sumter; one daughter, Melissa Favor of Sumter; six grandchildren; three brothers, Archie (Betty) Mack of Aynor, Toby (Nicole) Favor of Sumter and Willie Anderson of Sumter; three sisters, Mary (Albert) Buckingham of Paterson, New Jersey, Geneva (Jimmy) Jones and Dorothy Wells of Dallas; grandmother, Louise Mack; special sister, the Rev. Brenda Milford McRae; special friend, Nancy Flowers; caregiver, Charlene Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by James Lee and Loucinda Wells.
Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.
Ms. McMillian will be placed in the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. John Holiness Church, 869 Weeks St., Sumter.
Interment will follow at Mayesville Community Cemetery, Mayesville.
The family will be receiving friends at the home, 993 Huddersfield Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
