FLORENCE - On Friday, March 6, 2020, Elder Cecil Hilton Sr., husband of Sally Wells Hilton, heard his Master's call at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Born on Sept. 8, 1923, in Manning, he was a son of the late Joe Sr. and Margaret Stukes Hilton.

A service celebrating his life will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Mount Zero Missionary Baptist Church, 7827 Paxville Highway, Manning, where the Rev. Jeffrey Jackson serves as pastor. The Rev. Ethel W. Sweat, pastor of Mount Calvary FBH Church, Manning, will officiate. The Right Rev. Patrick L. Frazier Jr., chairman of the board of bishops FBH Church and presiding prelate First Episcopal Diocese, will bring words of consolation. The service of committal will follow in the Hilton Family plot located at Mount Zero Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.

Public viewing will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

The family is receiving relatives and friends from 1 to 8 p.m. at the residence of his daughter, Mary Ann Hilton, 402 Drayton St., Manning.
