Charles Ronnie Jennings, 62, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter.

Charles was born on Feb. 4, 1959, in Lee County, the youngest son of the late Robert Lee Jennings and Leila Jennings Surles. He was an avid fisherman and landscaper. His hobbies included fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a son, Nathan (Shemika) Williams; granddaughters, Tia and Tyeshia; two aunts, Desi Davis and Kathleen Jennings; five sisters, Roberta Colclough, Jackie (William) Champagne, Mae (Eddie) McMillan, Janie (John) McKnight and Bernette (Michael) Norris; a brother, Thomas (Wilhelmina) Jennings; special nephews whom he reared as his own, Joseph Jennings and Demarco Norris; 18 other nephews; 17 nieces; a host of great-nephews and nieces, family and friends.

In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitations at the home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter.

The procession will leave at 10:20 a.m. from 2 Cheyne St., Sumter.

Burial will be at Walker Cemetery, Sumter.
