CHRISTOPHER BROGDON

Christopher Brogdon, 88, widower of Bennie Mae Brogdon, was born on Sept. 6, 1933, in Sumter, a son of the late Moultrie and Gardenia Canty Brogdon.

He departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at McLeod Health Clarendon, Manning.

Public viewing will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Union Station AME Church, 945 S. Main St., Sumter, SC 29150.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Hillside Memorial Park, 2561 Cains Mill Road, Sumter, SC 29150 with the Rev. Lemuel Washington officiating and the Rev. Joshua Dupree, eulogist. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. daily at the home, 324 Wyoming Drive, Sumter, SC 29154. The family is requesting all visitors to please wear facial masks.
