Sheriff's office hosts blood drive on July 8

MANNING - The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office in partnership with The Blood Connection is hosting a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on July 8 at the sheriff's office, 217 Commerce St.

All donors will receive a $20 gift card. All donors will be entered in a raffle for various gifts.

Clarendon County Sheriff's Office celebrates National Hot Dog Day on July 23

MANNING - The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office is celebrating National Hot Dog Day from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the sheriff's office, 217 Commerce St. Stay inside your vehicle and drive through the front driveway.

The free hot dog meal will include a hot dog with chili, chips, a dessert and a drink.

Shining Light Awards to be held July 30

MANNING - The Light Foundation, a nonprofit organization, will honor five individuals with its Shining Light Award at the Sapphire Ball - Black Tie Affair beginning at 6 p.m. July 30 at the Matrix Center.

The foundation's board of directors honors individuals and groups who make vital contributions in rural communities throughout the state and who make difficult decisions to enhance excellence and encourage others to follow in their footsteps.
