Carolina Bass Challenge Tournament starts today

Think Pink Community Prayer Breakfast is on Monday

MANNING - The annual Think Pink Community Breakfast sponsored by the Clarendon County Cancer OverComers and the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Clarendon County Community Complex gymnasium directly behind Weldon Auditorium.

Attend job fair on Tuesday

PAXVILLE - The Paxville Community Development Corp., 10183 Lewis Road, is sponsoring a job fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. CSD2 schools to be open

on Monday as makeup day

MANNING - Clarendon School District 2 will use Monday as a bad weather makeup day for the time the district was out because of Hurricane Dorian. All CSD2 schools will be open on Monday.

Halloween Fest sponsored

MANNING - Sen. Kevin L. Johnson is sponsoring his annual Halloween Fest from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 at the corner of Boyce and Boundary streets. The event will feature ghoulish games, freaky fun and frightening food.

E-waste event is rescheduled for Nov. 16 for residents only

MANNING - Clarendon County will offer an E-Waste Recycling Collection Event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Administration Building, 411 Sunset Drive, for Clarendon County residents only. Shred-with-Us will be on site to shred important documents free of charge.

Items that will not be accepted include refrigerators, washing machines, clothes dryers, dishwashers, mercury-containing devices (i.e. thermometers and fire alarms), hazardous waste chemicals, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and bio waste.

Clarendon CDC won't accept applications during November, December

MANNING - The Clarendon County Community Development Corp. will not accept any home repair applications during November and December 2019. Homeowners will be able to apply until Oct. 31 for assistance. The CCCDC will resume taking applications on Jan. 6, 2020. The South Carolina State Housing and Trust Fund has endorsed this announcement.

The CCCDC is still in need of qualified, certified and licensed contractors who have Workmen's Compensation and other required paperwork. Contact the CCCDC at (803) 435-6639 and ask for Pamela Clavon-Brunson if you need additional information.
