CCVR Board to meet Jan. 27

MANNING - The Clarendon County Voter Registration and Elections Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at the CCVR office, 3 S. Church St.

The agenda will include approval of the agenda, approval of minutes from the Oct. 27 meeting, approval of the minutes for the Nov. 8, Dec. 5, Jan. 9 and Jan. 16 Canvassing and Certification, and the director's report. Under Old Business, the board will receive an update on IT personnel from the board's chairman. The board will receive remarks from the Clarendon County Delegation before adjournment.

Clarendon Planning Comm. meeting moved to Jan. 28

CLARENDON COUNTY - Due to inclement weather, the Clarendon County Planning Commission's Jan. 21 meeting was canceled. All requests that were scheduled for that meeting will be held at the Tuesday, Jan. 28, meeting. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the Council Chambers at the Clarendon County Administration building, 411 Sunset Drive.

Clarendon County Job Fair on Feb. 19 at F.E. DuBose Center

CLARENDON COUNTY - Looking for employment? Clarendon County is hosting a Job Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at F.E. DuBose Center, 3351 Sumter Highway.

CCRD baseball and softball registration is now open

CLARENDON COUNTY - The Clarendon County Recreation Department has announced that baseball and softball registration is now open in Manning and Turbeville. You can register online at https://clarendon.recdesk.com/Community/Home or in person from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the CCRD office in Manning, 3057 Raccoon Road, or you can register in person from 1 to 5 p.m. at Smith Field in Turbeville, 1380 Gamble St.

Clarendon library hosting Valentine's Day contest

MANNING - You'll always have fun at the Harvin Clarendon County Library.

Visit the library, 215 N. Brooks St., before Monday, Feb. 10, to guess how many chocolate kisses are inside the guessing jar on the front desk. The winner will receive the "kisses" in the jar. Winners will be contacted on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Good luck!
