Open Play Co-Ed Basketball at Clarendon County Complex Gym
MANNING - The Clarendon County Recreation Department is hosting Open Play Basketball for girls and boys at the Clarendon County Complex's gymnasium located behind Weldon Auditorium.
Cost to play is $1 per person, and all players who are 18 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
On Tuesdays, ages 8-10 can play between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.; ages 11-13 play from 6:30-7:30 p.m., ages 14-18 play from 7:30-8:30 p.m.; and over 18 years of age play between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.
On Sundays, ages 8-10 play between 2 and 3 p.m.; 11-13 play from 3:30 to 5 p.m.; 14-18 play between 5 and 6:30 p.m.; and players over 18 play from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Free Pancake Breakfast on March 22
WYBOO - The Manning Lions Club is having a Free Pancake Breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at the Wyboo Plantation Community Center, 100 Recreation Drive.
The breakfast will consist of pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice. Donations support the Manning Lions Club's vision, hearing and diabetes community service programs.

Free nutrition class on March 22
PAXVILLE - Attend a free nutrition class and receive a free FoodShare box from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Paxville Community Development Corp., 10183 Lewis Road, Manning. Learn how to prepare a simple recipe using items from a FoodShare box.
Quilt Expo on March 28-29
SUMMERTON - Lake Marion Artisans Gallery, 108 Main St., is hosting a Quilt Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday-Saturday, March 28-29.
Local quilters will demonstrate quilting techniques. Folks can learn measuring, cutting and assembling quilt blocks, view a free motion quilting demo, receive free bundles of fabric for attending, shop for vintage sewing notions, buttons, lace and patterns, and purchase small bundles of fabrics that are great for "scrappy quilting."
Royal Family Ball on March 29
GABLE/NEW ZION - Let's Read Clarendon is sponsoring the 1st Royal Family Ball "It's a Family Affair" from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Walker-Gamble Elementary School gymnasium, 2358 Walker Gamble Road.
Tickets are $25 for a family of up to three guests. Each additional guest will be $5 per family.
Dress to impress with prizes presented to the "Best Dressed Family."

Annual Walk/Run Wearing Pink Sneakers will be held May 17
MANNING - The 14th-Annual Think Pink Banquet sponsors of the Walk/Run Wearing Pink Sneakers event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the Manning High School gymnasium, 2155 Paxville Highway.
Money from the event will benefit the Clarendon County Cancer OverComers.
T-shirts will be $15 each. Meal tickets are $30 each and include a T-shirt. T-shirt sponsorships are $230 each and include one meal and T-shirt. Souvenir book ads are on sale.

CLARENDON COUNTY - Clarendon County Fire Rescue is seeking dedicated and skilled professionals to join its team as firefighters, EMTs and paramedics.
Full and part-time positions are available as well as shirt employees. EMT/external firefighters are also needed.
