Clarendon Hall dropped from second to fifth in SCISA 8-man football in the S.C. Prep Media Football Poll released on Tuesday after falling to Wardlaw Academy last Friday.

The Saints were the only one of the local teams who are ranked to change positions. They traveled to Johnston and lost to Wardlaw 42-22, their first loss of the season.

Wardlaw jumped from fifth to second behind unanimous No. 1 Andrew Jackson Academy, the only undefeated team left in 8-man. St. John's Christian is third and Richard Winn fourth followed by CH. The Nos. 2-5 teams each have a loss.

Undefeated Sumter High School is the only local team ranked in the South Carolina High School League polls, and it is still No. 5 in 5A.

Dutch Fork is still the unanimous No. 1, but Dorman is the new No. 2 after beating the previous No. 2, Byrnes, 35-33 last week.

Undefeated Fort Dorchester moved to third with Byrnes fourth and Sumter fifth. Unbeaten Clover is sixth followed by River Bluff, Carolina Forest, T.L. Hann and Gaffney.

Laurence Manning Academy remained No. 2 in the SCISA 3A poll after losing to No. 1 Hammond last week. It was the Swampcats' first loss, but they own victories over all of the other teams ranked below them.

Robert E. Lee Academy is still No. 3 in the SCISA 2A poll. Trinity-Byrnes is a unanimous No. 1, and Florence Christian remains second.

There is a new No. 1 in 3A, and its unanimous pick Chapman. It took over the top spot after previous No. 1 Dillon lost to Aynor. Aynor jumped from a tie for seventh to second, while Dillon dropped to fifth.

Myrtle Beach and Abbeville are unanimous No. 1s in 4A and 2A, respectively. Wagener-Salley remains atop the 1A pool with seven first-place votes. Second-place Green Sea-Floyds got the other four No. 1 votes.

Bethesda Academy moved from fourth to the top of the SCISA 1A poll after it defeated former No. 1 Thomas Heyward Academy. THA dropped to third.
