On June 5, the South Carolina Independent School Association announced its Student Publication Award Winners.

Volume 53 of Clarendon Hall's Yearbook, The Crusader, was honored in four categories. The Crusader won for copywriting and received Honorable Mention in the following categories: Photography, Layout/Design and Theme Development.

Head of School Kelley B. Wannamaker praised the students and adviser, saying, "Our Crusader staff worked extra hard and met earlier deadlines this year. Our Saints Family received yearbooks prior to completion of the academic year. I am proud to have our students' talents receive recognition and win the Copywriting category. I appreciate the leadership provided by Yearbook Advisor Susan Oswald."
