Clarendon residents can donate blood, receive Visa gift card

Clarendon County residents have the opportunity to donate blood at McLeod Health Clarendon and receive a gift for their donation on Wednesday.

On Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., residents can donate blood to The Blood Connection at McLeod Health Clarendon, 10 E. Hospital St.

The Blood Connection is a nonprofit organization with a mission to save lives as a community blood center.

Donors at the Clarendon County blood drive must be 16 years or older and weigh over 110 pounds to donate blood. Donors are asked to bring a photo ID and drink plenty of water and eat healthy before donating blood.

Donors can only donate blood once every 56 days. All donors will receive a $20 Visa gift card.
