Camp Happy Days postponed

MANNING - Camp Happy Days, a camp for children diagnosed with cancer and their siblings, has been a part of Clarendon County for more than 25 years. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's week-long camp that is typically held the week of July 4 has been postponed.

Donations of hats, T-shirts, sunscreen, toothpaste, other toiletries and cash donations are now being accepted in preparation of the camp's return later this summer or fall. No donation is too small.

Cancer OverComers' Walk postponed

MANNING - The 2020 Clarendon County Cancer OverComers' Walk will not be held on July 25. The walk has been postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A new date in the fall is being considered. An announcement is expected before the end of June.

Harvin Clarendon County Library reopens

MANNING - The Harvin Clarendon County Library, 215 N. Brooks St., has reopened with limited hours. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visitors can pick up books, send a fax or get photocopies. It's not too late to stop by the library and sign up for the Summer Reading Program.

The library has craft pickups scheduled. On June 22, the library will feature a craft pickup for a Japanese mask. On June 29, the craft will showcase Independence Day. On July 1, Storytime will feature Miss Melissa.
