Club digest: June 2, 2019




The April 4 meeting of Nu Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi was held at the home of Libby Singletary, who shared that United Ministries had reopened the clothing closet. A records review was received from International, and new officers' names were submitted. The chapter's budget for next year was reviewed and accepted.

Xi Eta chapter hosted its Founder's Day on April 27 at the Carolina Skies Club on Shaw Air Force Base. Barbara Smith received the Golden Circle Award for 50 years as a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Toni Burkhart was selected as Woman of the Year for Nu Master Chapter. The new sorority theme for 2020 is "Power of the Dream."

On May 2, a salad luncheon and meeting was held at the home of Dot Edwards. New chapter officers were installed.

The May 22 meeting was held at the home of Liz Wild. After a salad lunch, secret sister gifts were exchanged and new names drawn for next year. The Congeniality Award was awarded to Dot Edwards. Rickey Allen won the 50/50 chapter fundraiser.

An end-of-year social was held on May 23 at Boykin Grill Store for chapter members and guests.

Beginning Day will be in late August, hosted By Nu Master Chapter. Business meetings are suspended until September.
