A commercial real estate agent in Sumter recently received international recognition for her progress in her industry as a young professional.

Erricka Jones was named to the Coldwell Banker Commercial 3 Under 30 list at the company's Global conference in Las Vegas in March, an award that honors young professionals who "understand the importance of building strong customer and community relationships and comprise the next generation of leadership in the business."

Award recipients were chosen based on a wide range of metrics such as production, niche, markets, innovation, community service and leadership qualities.

Jones began her career with Sumter's Coldwell Banker Commercial Cornerstone as part of a team with Broker-In-Charge Jay Davis, during which she assisted with property valuations, lease negotiation, contract writing, comparative market analysis, task management and marketing.

After working on numerous real estate transactions, Jones advanced to brokering deals independently and is currently a Certified Commercial Investment Member candidate, planning to complete coursework by spring 2020. A CCIM designate is a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry. The designation process includes four core courses and a portfolio of qualifying experience.

Jones, a Sumter native, was also one of The Sumter Item's and Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce's 2018 20 Young Professionals Under 40 in the program's inaugural year.

She graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, majoring in both Finance and Real Estate and minoring in Psychology. She also is involved with the Sumter American Heart Association and serves on the United Way of Sumter, Clarendon and Lee Board of Directors, the Derby Day Sumter Committee and the Tuomey Foundation's Festival of Trees Committee.
