Jay Davis, CCIM for Coldwell Banker Commercial Cornerstone in Sumter, was recently recognized for being among the "Top Two" percent of producers within Coldwell Banker Commercial for 2018.

The Top Two designation is reserved for the top 60 producers from among nearly 3,000 CBC-affiliated sales professionals in the organization worldwide, according to a news release. This marks the fifth time Davis has earned the award.

Davis, the president and founding partner of the commercial real estate services office in Sumter in 1997, was asked to sit on a panel of Top Two awardees to present strategies on success in small markets.

"Jay and I both benefit greatly from our association with CBC," said Arthur P. Barry, SIOR, who sat alongside Davis on the panel. "Moreover, we learn from each other and shared our unique foundations for success with other CBC associates in our panel discussion. Our new managing director, Dan Spiegel, pitched leading questions on industry topics and best practices. Our answers to his questions and those from our Q&A were beneficial to those younger brokers in our audience."

During the session, Heather Tickel was also recognized for her involvement in Davis' success.

Under the mentorship of Davis and Tickel, Erricka Jones assisted their team with property valuations, lease negotiations, sale contracts and marketing. As a new member of the team, Jones was recently recognized to the CBC "3 Under 30" and has since transitioned to an Independent Broker within CBC Cornerstone.

"Any success I have had has been a team effort and wouldn't have been possible without Heather's contributions," Davis said.

Davis was also named to CBC's Circle of Distinction for 2018, an honor bestowed upon the top-ranking producers among all CBC-affiliated sales professionals based on their transaction revenue for 2018. He has been awarded this honor 12 times.
