Coleman-Brunson

Alison Paige Coleman and Taylor David Brunson, both of Sumter, were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Bethel Baptist Church in Sumter.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clayton Coleman Sr. and the granddaughter of Mr. James Arthur Bradley and the late Mrs. Linda Ann Bradley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Green Coleman, all of Sumter. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. She is employed by Sumter School District.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry David Brunson and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Melton Brunson and Mrs. Margaret Taylor and the late Lt. Col. Thomas Taylor, all of Sumter. He graduated from Sumter High School. He is employed by Thompson Construction.

The Rev. Mike Lowder officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by Mr. Walter S. Wilson and Ensemble.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a silk dupion ballgown with a timeless lace high neckline and buttons leading down to the end of the chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of white garden roses, spray roses, veronica, calla lilies, Belles of Ireland, ranunculus, stock, anemones and various greenery.

Mrs. Gaffney Hall Brown and Mrs. Devyn Youngblood Gibbons served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Melanie Caroline Baldwin, Mrs. Emma Wynn Brown, Mrs. Natalie Gibbons Lamb, Mrs. Mary Ashleigh Mahoney, Charlotte Wells Timmons, Audra Michelle Turner, Lauren Elizabeth Stogner, Mrs. English Mishoe Cutter and Mrs. Jessica Brunson Jolly.  Caitlin Elizabeth Bradley served as flower girl.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Ian Nathan Adams, Mr. Brian Franklin Amick, Mr. Alexander Nathan Clark, Mr. Aubrey James Coleman, Mr. Charles Clayton Coleman Jr., Mr. John Michael Compton, Mr. Justin Wade Cromer, Mr. Hunter McLane Goodson, Mr. Andrew Chad Jolly, Mr. Thomas Newcomb Lawrence II, Mr. John Jacob Martin, Mr. Dalton Martin Ward, Mr. Joseph Stillman Parmenter, Mr. Michael Wragg Self Jr. and Mr. Garrett Richard Shaw. Ashton Lee Brown served as ring bearer.

Also participating were Bailey Marie Ardis, Mr. Brady Cruz Ardis, Mr. Brody Ray Ardis and Mylah Faye Ardis.

The bride's parents held the reception at the Sunset Country Club in Sumter.

The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at Serendipity Cafe in Sumter.

Following a wedding trip to Sea Island, Georgia, the couple resides in Sumter.
