Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clayton Coleman Sr. of Sumter announce the engagement of their son, Charles Clayton Coleman Jr. of Goosecreek, to Ellen Andrea Underwood of Goosecreek, daughter of Ms. Linda Ellen White of Mount Pleasant and Mr. Andrew Kazimierz Underwood of San Diego, California.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Danuta Zofia Saladyga of Ware, Massachusetts, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Walter White of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. She is employed by Westrock Paper Co. in Charleston.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. James Arthur Bradley and the late Mrs. Linda Ann Jones of Sumter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Greene Coleman of Pinewood. He graduated from Laurence Manning Academy and attends American Military University. He is an avionics technician in the United States Air Force stationed in Charleston.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 31, 2020, in Sumter.
