Committee reports, policy changes before Sumter School District Board

Sumter School District's Board of Trustees will hold its regularly scheduled monthly work session on Monday night at Lakewood High School.

Board committee reports, the superintendent's report and numerous policy matters headline the agenda, which was posted online Thursday for the general public by a district staff member.

For new Superintendent William Wright Jr., who started in his post on July 1, it will be his fifth meeting with the full board.

Like all board-related meetings, the work session is open to the public, and the public is invited to attend. However, because it's the board's monthly work session, public participation is not on the agenda. Monday's meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Lakewood High School's fine arts center, 350 Old Manning Road.

For those not physically attending, the district continues to broadcast meetings live on YouTube.

Anyone wanting to attend the meeting virtually can do so via YouTube Sumter School District Board Meeting and the district's Facebook page, @SumterSCSchools.
