CREOLA MCCLAM MICKENS

GABLE - Creola McClam Mickens, 81, widow of Alex Mickens, died Monday, July 29, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

She was born Nov. 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Ore McClam and Ruth Brayboy Player.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mickens will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walker-Gamble Elementary School, 2358 Walker Gamble Road, New Zion, with the Rev. Herman M. Gibson officiating, Pastor Mary Nesmith presiding and Pastor Rhonda B. Keels, Pastor Nathaniel Wilson, Elder Dr. Willie J. Witherspoon and Bishop Kenneth L. Gibson assisting. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Turbeville.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Robert Currie, 6850 Myrtle Beach Highway, Gable.
